Now, is time to give our neighbours from Moldova some marks for Lidia`s song. We have different opinions about it and it would be exciting for you all reading this. But, first of all, we have to explain the judging system: we give points in the Eurovision style (1-12, no 9 and 11) and we add them until we get a certain number (for example 71/96). Why 96? Because we are eight people in the team (so 12 multiplied by 8 equals 96).
Alex Iovan: Moldova did more than a great job by sending Lidia this year. Her song is very good, exactly what you wanna hear at Eurovision. Her voice sounds good live and with a great show I think that Moldova will qualify this year. They deserve that! 10/12
Laur Mihai: Lidia was, by far, the best choice for Moldova…in a final with such a bottle of bad songs, this was the only one that stood out. Even if Lidia won, I find hard to believe that she will get through the first semifinal. The song isn’t bad, if I am right, a swedish composer gave birth to „Falling Stars”. One thing that I do not like at all is her voice when the chorus starts…it just pisses me off, in that moment, I swear, I want to put earmuffs…most likely she is screaming for the final but sometimes it doesn’t work. 5/12
Cătălina Gheorghe: This has “cliché” written all over it. The voice doesn’t really dazzle, it sounds quite harsh on the high notes and the song itself is so 00s. It’d give it a 6 out of 12 because I enjoyed her performance in Selecția Natională’s final and she’s a sweetheart. 6/12
I ought to add, she was the best choice for Moldova, but it is what it is. Her voice is bothering me and as far as composition is concerned … I have no words to describe it. 5/12
